Liza M. Capiendo, MD
Liza M. Capiendo, MD, is a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon and the second medical director for the Lipoma Removal Center of Excellence. Her main clinical and research interests include the laparoscopic treatment of colon and rectal disorders. She is currently the Clinical Chief of the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She also has a special interest in the laparoscopic resection of gastrointestinal malignancies and places special emphasis on the treatment of rectal disorders in women. Her expertise includes the treatment of pelvic floor disorders and the treatment of fecal incontinence.
Dr. Capiendo is an attending physician at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She is board certified and a member of The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons as well as an active member of the teaching faculty in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She received her medical degree from Loma Linda University and completed her surgical residency at King/Drew Medical Center, where she was granted the Surgical Resident of the Year award on three occasions. Jimmy S. Firouz, MD
Dr. Jimmy Firouz is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Through extensive training in both general and plastic/reconstructive surgery, Dr. Firouz blends his artistic talents with surgical precision to produce the best results possible. His specialties include cosmetic procedures of the face and body, including laser and endoscopic procedures, body contouring, facial rejuvenation and breast surgery.
After completing his undergraduate degree at UCLA with honors, Dr. Firouz then attended medical school at George Washington University before returning to Los Angeles to complete a five-year general surgery residency at the University of Southern California, in which he specialized in all facets of general surgery, shock trauma, surgical critical care and burn reconstruction. His time at USC led to his election into Alpha Omega Alpha, the prestigious Medical Honor Society, as well as a nomination for Chief Resident in General Surgery.

Dr. Eiman Firoozmand is board certified in colorectal and general surgery. He is currently Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. Dr. Firoozmand’s main practice involves the treatment of colon and rectal cancer. Dr. Firoozmand has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications including The American Surgeon, The Journal of Trauma, and Surgical Laparoscopy & Endoscopy.
Gary Hoffman, MD
Dr. Gary Hoffman is a board-certified colorectal surgeon. He is a member of The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, Southern California Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, The American College of Surgeons and The American Medical Association. Dr. Hoffman’s main clinical and research interests involve the laparoscopic, minimally invasive treatment of colon and rectal malignancies. He has been published in the peer-reviewed Diseases of the Colon and Rectum and Surgical Rounds.
Allen Kamrava, MD
Dr. Allen Kamrava is a board-certified colorectal surgeon at La Peer Health Systems and Los Angeles Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates, Inc. Dr. Kamrava’s clinical research interests include the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease, advanced colorectal cancers, and complex anal diseases. He simultaneously received certification in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques and earned his medical degree at Temple University’s School of Medicine.
David P. Magner, MD
Dr. Magner is board-certified in minimally-invasive and laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery. Through an interdisciplinary, patient-centered approach, he specializes in the treatment of all aspects of colorectal disease. Dr. Magner’s expertise includes pelvic floor dysfunction, benign anorectal conditions, advanced gastrointestinal malignancies, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Babak Moeinolmolki, MD
Dr. Babak Moeinolmolki is a fellowship trained surgeon. He has experience in both cosmetic surgery and minimally invasive bariatric procedures. Dr. Moeinolmolki went to medical school at George Washington University and did a surgergical internship at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He also completed a general surgery residence at Georgetown University Medical Center.
